Senior Fibre Build Manager
Location: Channel Islands
Start date: ASAP
Job Type: Contract (1 year minimum)
Day Rate: £380p/d + Travel to Island/Return from Island + Rented Accommodation
Payment Terms: Weekly

Allied Resource are proud to be working with a UK leader in the provision of infrastructure services to the telecommunication sector. Our client now requires a seasoned Senior Build Manager to oversee the E2E delivery of FTTP network builds on the Channel Islands. Working on behalf of the local council and a leading provider of FTTP and subsea network solutions, the ideal candidate will need to have experience managing and successfully delivering all aspects of passive optical networks in relation to FTTX builds.

Responsibilities:

- Act as a main point of contact and liaison on behalf of the local council, overseeing the end-to-end delivery of passive optical networks in relation to FTTP build programmes.
- Manage relationships with local subcontractors, ensuring network delivery is to the required standards of safety, quality, and time constraints.
- Ensure that resources and materials are utilised correctly to mitigate any issues and risks.
- Produce exceptional technical advice to internal and external teams and provide solutions when needed.
- Have a strong influence on stakeholder management and ensure relevant stakeholder plans are in place.
- Hold full accountability for the commercial aspects of the project under your control.
- Remain agile in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, ensuring programmes under your control are on track.
- Any other responsibilities reasonably required by the client from time to time.

Must Have:

- Very strong knowledge of requirements and standards for the deployment of FTTP build programmes covering civils, cabling, splicing etc.
- Experience as a SPOC, liaising between local authorities and subcontract resources within fibre network builds.
- Strong knowledge of NRSWA/CDM requirements, including permitting etc.
- Prince 2 (Desirable).
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong Commercial / Contractual knowledge
- Demonstrable experience in working within a high paced environment.
- Health & Safety / Quality orientated.
- UK Driving licence.
