Job Title: Senior VAS Engineer
Salary: £100k + 10% annual bonus + Housing & Flights allowance
Reports to: Head of IP Networks
Location: Florida, US

Role Overview
The Senior VAS Engineer will be responsible for the efficient management, build and support our rapidly expanding mobile and fixed networks infrastructure and the support systems. You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
 Administration of physical and virtualized servers and systems that include: DNS, Email, Radius, VMWare and could infrastructure, Online Charging System (OCS), Sandvine.  Mastering of applications in the workspace which include: CAIN, DTS, ePIN, Credit U.  Administration of Linux and Windows servers Plan and implement software updates, audit server security and maintain hardware and software integrity.  Adhere to internal operational procedures and policies.  Follow, develop and execute periodic maintenance routines for systems and applications and document results.  Follow, develop and execute periodic redundancy routines for systems and applications and document results.  Continually check with vendors for system upgrades and patches to fix bugs, improve systems proficiency and availability of all services.  Implement security patches and correct vulnerabilities for servers and applications.  Develop and execute backup policies for systems and applications, on a set schedule, to ensure data recoverability in case of DR.  Provide Engineering support and training to other departments - NOC and Customer Care for the ISP and CCN applications and systems under area of responsibility.  Process support tickets for applications and services, within the SLA timeframe.  Complete short and long term objectives and tasks received as per target dates agreed.  Active contribution in developing structured documentation and knowledge sharing platforms.  Show positive attitude to work and work ethics. Team player and collaborative. Provide proactive feedback and be receptive to feedback received. Constantly seek to improve and develop new skills. Help business growth through owns technical development.  Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure successful launches of interactive applications.  Collaborate with other engineering teams to support projects and to deploy new features.  Vendor engagement of future features and products. Maintain competitive edge of Digicel products and services through regular comparative analysis of feature set available in existing/other solutions on the market.  Performs related work: the duties listed above are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. Academic qualifications and experience required for job:
 BS Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication or equivalent technical competence  Proven 5+ years' experience and knowledge of mobile and fixed service provider or equivalent sized networks and ICT support environment  Strong Linux Server administration experience including scripting languages (Perl, Python, bash)  Strong experience in OCS solution AIR, CCN, SDP tariff change, build promotions, node administration.  Experience in administration of Sandvine Data Systems policy control, PCEF and Traffic Detection Function  Show dedication and be customer centric.  Collaborative and positive attitude to work, co-workers and self-development.  Effective communicator and proactive attitude.

Working Condition: (e.g. frequent travel, overtime, etc.)
