Structured Cabling Engineer

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum + overtime available

Allied Resource are currently on the look out for a Structured Cabling Engineer to work for one of our clients on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking site-based data & fibre network infrastructure installations and testing. Identifying faults and performing rectification for our clients based in the Southeast.

Responsibilities:
- Installation and testing of data / copper / fibre cabling and associated installation of containment and pathways.
- Diagnose system faults / potential installation issues and recommend solutions.
- Client sites to perform installation works, and all associated activities, either as part of an installation team or as a lone worker where lone working is permitted.
- Perform installations in accordance with the provided Method Statement and Risk Assessment for the project.
- Find and diagnose faults in structured cabling systems as required.
- Generate project documentation as requested.
- Undertake installation surveys as required.

Must Have:
- Strong experience with Copper / Fibre Cabling works within a Data Centre Environment.
- Must have strong communication skills, especially with Clients, peers and Line Managers.
- ECS/CSCS Card is essential.
- Ability to gain SC Clearance through company sponsor.
