​Telecoms Field Engineer
Location: UK
Start date: Monday 24th June / 1st July
Job Type: 1 Year Contract
Salary: £240 per day + mileage paid over 80 mile radius from home + accommodation supplied when working far from home.

Allied Resource are currently recruiting for Telecoms Field Engineers for a 1 year project across the UK. Teams will be based regionally and work will be regionalised where possible, however, travel must be expected on a weekly basis. Engineers will be installing Nokia Media Gateway equipment in various exchanges. Basic Telecoms engineering / cabling skills would be required to complete the work.

Responsibilities:
• Installing equipment in an existing rack in BT exchanges. All day time work
• Installing power cable to rack top PDU
• Installing 1-2 fibres which may go to another rack
• Install a number of multipair copper cable to a punchdown block located in a rack
• Small amount of config (Cut and paste of a few lines on code via PUTY or similar
• Testing with BT Back office (JIT team)

Must Have:
- Strong Telecoms engineering experience
- Telecoms cabling experience (Fibre, Copper, Power)
- Experience working in BT Exchange environments is a bonus.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel UK Wide.
