Quantity Surveyor Location: Sevenoaks, Kent Start date: ASAP Job Type: Permanent Salary: £50k-£55K + Vehicle + Fuel Card + Package Allied Resource are very pleased to be working with a major player in the telecommunications industry. Our client now has a very exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join the existing team. Using your extensive background in fibre builds, you will effectively manage all costs related to the project, achieving maximum value for money whilst maintaining excellent standards. Responsibilities: - Collate comprehensive financial and surveying information as required by Senior Management, including monthly review meetings. - Complete feasibility studies, and exercises relating to value/risk management and fully support the preparation estimates, cash flow projections and cost plans. - Provide statistics for new rates to the estimating department and support surveying activities. - Certify, agree, and measure the success of subcontractor accounts. - Take the lead in evaluating and determining all works for final account purposes and payment, ensuring detailed records are kept. - Assist Estimators in their duties when required. - Ensure all payments are received in full, and act as sign off for contractor payments. - Agree and record extra/day works and all relevant events for loss, delays and expense claims. - Adhere to and maintain Health and Safety compliance procedures in your work, taking responsibility for yourself and your team members. Must Have: - Experience with financial and commercial elements of complex projects. - Knowledge of various contract types and related legal framework. - Working knowledge of stock management, procurement, best practice and legislation. - Strong financial management, budget planning and cost management experience. - Fully conversant with various contract types. - Strong Health and Safety awareness. Senior Civils Supervisor Location: Northumberland Start date: ASAP Job Type: Permanent Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Vehicle/Fuel card + Overtime + Benefits. Allied Resource are currently recruiting for a Senior Civils Supervisor for a fantastic client of ours in the Northumberland / North East. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of field based Civils employees and Contractors as well as directly reporting to the Build Managers regarding updates on project progress / quality / H&S of FTTP builds. Responsibilities: - Maintain the constant supply of materials, tools/equipment and resources for field operatives, ensuring to escalate any stock issues etc. - Complete and record site meetings with various stakeholders and authorities whilst maintaining good relationships. - Supervise/Manage Civils Gangs and Contractor on fibre network build. - Carry out quality audits alongside Openreach and Auditors to maintain a high level of quality and Health & Safety. - Host toolbox talks - Ensure field teams are kept occupied with work in the event of any stoppages or early completion of job packs (with agreement from Build Manager). - Complete any necessary snagging or defect rectification - Feedback reports of results/findings to the Management team. Ensure to take action where required and escalate any onsite issues or concerns. - Train and mentor on the job - Design backhaul segments using utility pole routes, as well as identify suitable locations for fibre build. - Ensure site is adhering to Health and Safety regulations Must Have: - 2 years Civils Supervisor experience on FTTx projects with prior experience working in a Civils Lead/Ganger role - NRSWA Supervisor accredited - SA002 accredited - Experience working on the Openreach/PIA network - Working Knowledge of HAUC and NRSWA - Full UK Driving License. The successful candidate will be responsible for multiple Cabling Installation projects around the UK. The company operates UK wide and throughout Europe delivering Telecoms services, so travel to various sites will be required. Must Have: - - Knowledge of structured cabling systems (Cat5, Cat6, Cat6A, Fibre Optics) - 2+ years’ experience in Project Management within the Structured Cabling Industry. - Prince 2 qualification or equivalent (Desirable). - Full UK Driving licence. Fibre Commissioning Engineer Location: M4 corridor Start date: ASAP Job Type: Permanent Salary: £30k - £40k per annum + Vehicle + Fuel Card + Package Allied Resource are currently recruiting for a Fibre Commissioning Engineers with strong splicing and testing experience to work for a fantastic company based in the Berkshire area. The successful candidate will be required to work on various sites in the region. You will lead from the front on fibre splicing and cabling projects.
