Structured Cabling Surveyor / Route Planner Location: Manchester Start date: ASAP Job Type: Permanent Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Per Annum Allied Resource are currently recruiting for a Structured cabling Surveyor / Planner with strong route planning and site surveying experience to work for a fantastic company based in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for pre-Installation route planning and surveys. The company operates UK wide and throughout Europe delivering Telecoms services, so travel to various sites may be required. Responsibilities: - - Conducting Site Surveys and provide design ideas and solutions. - Installation of structured cabling systems including CAT5, CAT6, CAT6A and Fibre Optics. - Building statement methods. - Investigate, diagnose, and repair faults of Structured cabling systems. - Conduct surveys and produce task paperwork. - Regularly liaise with clients, peers, and line management for any potential site issues. - Creating bill of materials and drawings for inclusion to quotation of works. Must Have: - - 5+ years’ experience in structured cabling industry. - IPAF Licence. - Recognised H&S Qualification I.E SSSTS, SMSTS or IOSH (Desirable) - Full UK driving licence. - Strong communication and Organisation skills. Transmission Technical Support Engineer Location: Cambridgeshire Start date: 22nd November or ASAP Job Type: Permanent Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum + Benefits Allied Resource are currently recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer with strong telecoms transmission experience to work for a fantastic company based in Cambridgeshire. The successful candidate will provide 2nd / 3rd line support to various managed services customers within the business, you must have good hands on knowledge in telecommunications I&C. Responsibilities: - Successfully resolving faults within agreed SLAs. - Provide regular progress updates to external customers. - Update fault tickets. - Provide technical consultancy to the account teams for tender responses. - Support the NOC engineering team in day to day duties. - Provide system solutions for customer builds and network upgrades. Must Have: - Strong experience in Installation, Support & Commissioning within the Telecoms industry. - Technical and fault-finding skills on a wide range of WDM products such as Huawei OSN1800, Ekinops, Packetlight, Ciena 6500, 6100, 3900 and ADVA. - Highly experienced in PDH/SDH theory and fault resolution. - Networking certifications desirable: CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network.. - Flexible with the emergency on-call rota as and when required.
