Installation Engineer Location: North Scotland Start date: ASAP Job Type: Permanent Salary: £30,000 per annum Allied Resource are currently recruiting for an Installation Engineer with experience working in Data Centres / Switch sites for a permanent role in the North of Scotland. You will be working on various sites around Scotland completing Copper and Fibre cabling works. Responsibilities: - Cat 6/Cat 5 Network patching. - Fibre patching (Eqpt to Eqpt or within ODF - Labelling of all the above in accordance with Customer specific standards - Fault finding (use of power meters, etc) - Installation of equipment cabinets/Racks including server racks and Vendor specific equipment racks in both raised floor and non-raised floor environments. - Installation of equipment within the racks. - AC and DC power cabling (not including connecting to the power systems as this will be performed by an 18th Edition qualified Engineer Must Have: - Strong experience with Cat6 / Fibre Patching. - Ability to Install equipment into Racks. - UK Driving licence. Reporting to the Civils Manager you will be responsible for overseeing quality and H&S on projects. AV Project Manager Location: Oxford Start date: ASAP Job Type: Permanent Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum Allied Resource are currently recruiting for an AV Project Manager to work for a fantastic company based in Oxfordshire. Successful candidates will be responsible for site management of AV installation projects, mainly working on Smart Homes, which are usually very high end properties. There will also be some commercial projects. We will need someone with a strong management background that is also highly technical able to troubleshoot problems if needed. Responsibilities: - Managing all aspects of the project scheduling in conjunction with any key main contractor programme. - Manage multiple projects concurrently whilst maintaining focus on budget and effective project delivery. - Liaise with the procurement team to ensure a timely and cost-effective purchasing and delivery programme is maintained. - Work closely with the design team to ensure all drawings and supporting documentation is accurate for project delivery. - Ensure that Health & Safety documentation is compliant and maintained for all projects. - Prepare all documentation at the end of the project for handover to the client. Data Cabling Project Manager Location: Home Based with Site Visits Start date: Monday 15th April or ASAP Job Type: Permanent Salary: £40,000 Per Annum + Car (Tesla) + Benefits Allied Resource are currently recruiting for a Structured Cabling Project Manager with strong Cabling infrastructure experience to work for a fantastic company based in the Midlands. The company is looking for a PM to join their ranks and work his/her way up in the company. Training will be provided, so this could suit somebody at Supervisor / Site Manager level in the industry. Successful candidates will initially train on a project in Shropshire with one of the Senior PM’s then take on a batch of projects in the North West (Manchester / Stockport / Burnley / Wigan) which are due to kick off in August / September time. Projects are mainly around cabling but the company also completes some CCTV and Door Access work, previous experience is not necessary although beneficial. The role is home based but some travel to sites will be required from time to time. You will also need to go into the office once every few weeks, which is South Birmingham based. Responsibilities: - - Successfully manage multiple live structured cabling projects. - Responsible for procurement of materials and liaise with supply chain for project plans. - Act as main point of contact for financial, operation and design tasks. - Report in to stake holders and senior management on a regular basis. - Regularly liaise with the client to report on the project and ensure that customer satisfaction is achieved. - Motivate all involved within the project and manage development of allocated resources. - Support the commercial team when they are preparing bids and quotations on new projects. - Ensure that H&S regulations are always adhered to on the project. - Regularly liaise with Site managers on the projects to ensure Engineering tasks are running smoothly. Must Have: - - Project Management or Site Management experience within the Data Cabling industry - Strong knowledge of Fibre optics and Structured cabling systems (CAT5, CAT6 OR Fibre) - CCTV and Door Access experience (Not Essential) - Willingness to travel to sites when needed. - Full UK driving licence. - Fantastic organisation and communication skills. The successful candidate will be managing field engineers completing F&S installations all over the South East. Responsibilities: - Provide Support to Junior Engineers. - Performing Servicing, Maintenance and Breakdown visits. - Collating and Administrating callout sheets, records, and asset registers. - Managing offsite repairs and ensuring revisits are completed in line with SLA’s. - Attend follow up service visits: Document and monitor any outstanding issues and communicate with after Sales Coordinator to organise completion within the schedule and to best meet customer expectations. - Tracking & Reporting: Complete and present your paperwork to the After Sales Coordinator and keep information up-to-date and accurate.
